HGH Supplements How They Work

Another name for human growth hormone (HGH) is SOMATROPIN. It is a protein hormone in the class of the 190 amino acids. These amino acids are the building blocks which produce protein. HGH is produced by the pituitary gland. Its effects are highly vital to the activities of the human body.

One main type of action of the HGH is its direct effects on other kinds of cells. The human growth hormone binds to its receptor on target cells, then creates some particular action. Fat cells, for example, are the target cells of HGH, so they have growth hormone receptors. Once bonded there, the growth hormone causes them to break down triglyceride and suppresses their ability to take up and accumulate circulating lipids — in other words, fat storage is
prevented!

Fat breaking however is not the only function of HGH. It causes the secretion of IGF-1. IGF-1 is a growth factor hormone similar to insulin which is produced in the liver and other body tissues. This action monitors many of the growth related effects.

By stimulating the differentiation and proliferation of muscle cells, HGH improves the assimilation of amino acids and protein synthesis there by bringing about muscle growth and skin toning.

Human Growth Hormone Affects:

  • Protein Metabolism:
HGH causes an increase in amino acid absorption, protein synthesis and reduces the effects of oxidation. So it may be termed an anti-oxidant.
  • Fat Metabolism:
Human growth hormone enables an efficient break down of fatty acids and fat cells. It regulates and controls the deposition of fat under the skin.
  • Carbohydrate Metabolism:
The relation of HGH with carbohydrates is its function in normalization the level of sugar in the body. May function as a remedy for cholesterol.
  • Testosterone Metabolism:
Human growth hormone fasilitates the production of testosterone which is a vital hormone responsible for all sexual functions.

These are not however all the functions of the human growth hormone in maintaining optimal health and their functions as anti-aging supplements. An in depth research will surely yield many more properties.

From the functions described above, it is evident that without the human growth hormone, many of our day to day and general heath activities will not be functioning as should be.

Deficiency of HGH may be compensated for through different methods. Initially, they were administered by injections but this method is not popular because it is an expensive method.

In recent years, and with the advancement of medical science, deficiency of HGH have been solved with the aid of herbal human growth hormone releasers. Human growth hormone releasers function in such a way as to stimulate the production of HGH by the pituitary gland.
